School is back in session here at GLA,, and the kids were eagerly awaiting the start of a new school year.. They were excited to have brand new books, notebooks, pencils, pens, and crayons. The school day begins each morning with singing the national anthem. The children hold their heads high as the sun shines on their little faces, with their hands over their heart, singing enthusiastically. This year, GLA is welcoming new students to school. It can be an anxious time for some of them, not knowing the routine, but it is also an exciting time for the ones who are returning. . Sam, Megan & Angelica were unsure of what was going to happen.
They woke up feeling uneasy about the start of pre-k, unsure why their peers were dressed all alike heading over to the big red building. , By the end of the day, they had solved the mystery. The big red building is a school full of awesome kids and teachers!
Train up a child in the way he should go; even when he is old he will not depart from it. Proverbs 22:6
For Mark, Alexander, Nataniel, and Louis, it was the time of their lives.. They woke up excited and happy to start the new school year, especially since they were with the older, “cooler” kids now. They started their day joyfully, praying together and singing the national anthem before beginning their classes. Although, It was a struggle for them to stay seated during class, lunch break came, and it was time for them to head down the stairs and join the older kids at the playground. The much needed break let them run off all the extra energy from the excitement of the first day. Overall, it was a great first day! We are so thankful the children can attend school right here on our GLA campus, with their friends. Each day is an opportunity to learn and grow. As the children went to sleep with smiles on their faces, they anxiously awaited tomorrow’s adventures.
